The intention of Chullachqui

Chullachaqui was created as a portal into discernment, boundaries, and deeper self-trust. The artwork carries the feeling of moving through the forest with heightened awareness, where every turn asks you to listen more closely, question what you are being shown, and remain rooted in your own knowing. It holds the frequency of protection, truth, accountability, and the kind of strength that is forged by learning how to find your way through uncertainty.

In the home, it becomes a grounding presence—a piece to walk with you when you are strengthening your boundaries, learning to trust your instincts, and becoming more difficult to misdirect. A reminder that even when the path becomes winding, your truth can still guide you back to yourself.

Print size and presentation

Chullachaqui is reproduced as a Fine Art Print in 10" × 7.5" and 16" × 12" on heavyweight 300gsm bright white paper, chosen to preserve the depth, saturation, and detail of the original artwork.

The paper has a refined matte finish and subtly textured surface that allows the earthy tones, deep shadows, and intricate details of the piece to remain rich without glare. Its surface is resistant to scratches and fingerprints, and each print is finished with hand-cut edges.

The artwork is printed without a border and arrives unframed, allowing you to choose the frame, mat, and presentation that best complement both the piece and your space.

The story behind the art

Chullachaqui is... complex. He is a powerful protector of the forest and the sanctity of life. This painting came through during my time undergoing a Master Plant Dieta in the Amazon Jungle of Peru with Chullachaqui himself. He is a tree with roots that stretch down to the deepest levels of our personal and collective underworlds. He is known as a consortum of forest tricker spirits that teach us about boundaries and discernment, and invite us into deeper levels of truth and accountability.

This piece is part of his maze work. He loves riddles, games, and tricks, and he will open portals to guide us deeper and deeper into our subconscious until we get lost so that we can find our way back, fortified in our truth and confident in our abilities to handle anything that comes our way. He creates warriors, ones that cannot be shaken, manipulated, or misdirected.

Setting boundaries and walking with confidence

For the one learning to trust themselves enough to stop following every path that appears in front of them. The one deepening their boundaries, sharpening their discernment, and becoming more honest about what belongs in their life, what does not, and where they may still be giving their power away.

Chullachaqui carries the energy of the forest as teacher and protector. Hung in the home, he becomes a reminder to stay close to your truth, to question what pulls you away from yourself, and to recognize when something is asking for deeper discernment. His presence speaks to the parts of us that have walked through confusion, illusion, and uncertainty and emerged more rooted in who we are.

This is a piece for the person becoming harder to misdirect. A visual anchor for remembering that even when the path becomes winding, you are capable of finding your way back to yourself.
